Changing software of Sky + HD box?

My Satellite Setup
i am now using hotbird sat
My Location
pakistan (islamabad)
can i change the software of sky +hd box and use this box as free to air receiver thanks waiting for your kind response.

Don't think so. The only modified software i've seen available is for the older white Sky+ boxes not the newer HD ones.

Your IP address puts you in Pakistan - the Sky+ box is more or less useless to you there. Sky UK boxes are flaky at best used away from the 28E signals.
