Hi friends ..
I recently crashed my AZbox Premium HD ...whilst scanning in new C band satellites and transponders ..
Sadly I lost the entire database ..so defaults were loaded ..and I now have to start all over again ..
Many hundreds of channels and transponder /satellite data was lost.
I wondered if there was a fully functional database editor available yet for my box
It would speed up the process of replacing all that data ..
I have downloaded AZbox Toolbox version 2.xx ....and although this does allow me network access to the AZ premium ....and allows me to import and export the channel database ...
It totally ignores settings like Disqc 1 > 4 ..
LNB settings universal or Cband 5150 ...these type of settings are not pulled from the box ..
Nor can they be written and sent to the box ..
It goes without saying I cannot delete ...or indeed create a new satellite using the Toolbox settings editor...so all these types of creation and manipulation have to be done by laborious remote control access ..
In sort the settings editor is usless for anything other than changing channel data ..
Transponder / satellite / diseqc data etc is not accessible with this tool ..
Can anyone suggest an alternative tool..??
Indeed ...does one exist yet for the AZ premium ??
I need to manually change all aspects of the boxes transponder and satellite database.

if not then it will take me about a week to reinput all the missing data..via remote control

You could try the MAZ editor. But I have no idea if it would cover all of the settings you need.

Finally got a result using AZtoolbox ..
It can be network connected to the AZbox ..and the channel list can then be imported to the settings editor..
but best to start with a blank list/database..
Still no go with creating transponders and settings easily for export to the box ...but..
by visiting this excellent site :-
_http://satellites-xml.eu/
it is possible to create a custom XML there which provides up-to-date transponders ...and the satellite range is both customseable and can subdivide satellites which have both Cband and ku band transponders ..
effectively creating two listings side by side for such a bird..
There is a tick box for this option ..
once you have created your custom sat/transponder list ..it can then be imported to the settings editor in AZtoolbox
The diseqc/lnb/12volt switch functions etc ...can then be changed in the editor and finally uploaded/exported to the azbox via network connection..
The AZbox then re-boots ...so allow time for this ..
It then requires you manually access your new sat/transponder list and scan using your remote ..
when finished its possible to import the completed list complete with channels scanned (satlist) ...back into settings editor aztoolbox ..
I assume it then be possible to save a copy of this for future mods and general use...
But at this point I'm again having problems ..so using the BacKuP facillity in the azbox menu for now..
If anyone has more success or indeed any further progress
please add to this thread ..
The AZtoolbox has _many_ other usefull features ...but I'm not familliar with their usage as yet..
