DB500s how to Add a record button to the remote

halo friends 2 questions am totally new with DB500s

first is that i have set my laptop harddrive for recording .
how i can set my start and stop recording button in DB remote
read its like
(copy the rcdmxxx5.xml file from /share/tuxbox/enigma/resources/rcdm5xxx.xml and save it to your PC.
Make a backup of it.
Use the "edit > find" facility to search for RECORD and make the following change:
change:
<action name="record" key="record" flags="m" />
to:
<action name="record" key="mute" flags="m" />
After editing it save it to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/resources/ as the original file is read-only () and can't be chmod'd with WS_FTP.
You can now use the mute button when in DVR mode (the yellow button) to as a record button.)

when i go to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/resources/none
i dont see rcdm5xxx.xml file how to fix this i have downloaded this file from old posts should i past there will it work.

second is can i watch divx or mp4 files on DB and when iam searching for new chennels in end DB shows found 600 ch when i finish and shave buton after i get like 500 ch it dosent store HD ch .
how to watch HD ch in DB500s.

well finally i configured my self how todo it below is detail. . . .
Change the "Mute" button to record (DVR)


Copy the file "rcdm5xxx.xml" on to your PC and edit it over there

change:
<action name="record" key="record" flags="m" />

to:
<action name="record" key="mute" flags="m" />

Then you transfer it to
/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/resources/ (NOT WHERE IT WAS ORIGINALLY)

Restart Dreambox

Now every time you press "Mute" button will now stop/ start record when in DVR mode. mute


whom like me can do and enjoy recording and watch mpg movies on tv frm db .

Well you dont have to do all that.

In gemini

Blue panel
Extras Setup or simllar
qucik buttons
Chosse dvr.

now the yellow button is the record button on dm 500s.

Why do all that above? with var/tuxbox

It is Waste of your time.
