DM800 flashing problem

Hello,

I have a very big problem to flash the dm800!
I have try to flash a dm800 yesterday by the browser, I have waiting that the flash is 100% flashed and I reboot it. But now when I reboot, the dm800 wait on a state (as if no image on the flash) on the lcd screen is just writing "DREAM multimedia". Now I try it to flash with the dreamup 1.3.3.6 with a serial link. The connection is doing when I switch on the dreambox (progress bar filled to 100%) and wait the acknowledge from the dm800 but it seems that he have no answer and in this case the button used to flash is not accessible
How I can flash or what is needed to recover the dm800 ??? Can you help me please

In any case I have the good dreamup and good cable!
Because I have two dm800 one to be flashed (as explained before) and one another same model that is currently working good. When I use the dreamup with the same cable on my good dreambox, the progress bar is filled and after it, the button is accessible (and the lcd screen change) => state ready for flashing.

To advance in my problem, I use an hyperterminal to look what happens at the start log and it seems that is not good...

With an ethernet cable plugged in the DM800

Switch off the DM800 and wait for 20 seconds, then hold in the front button and switch the power back on

The DM800 screen will show an IP Address, use a PC to access that address, you should see the DM800 flash screen, but also there is an info link, that will display the bootloader version amongst other things.

What does that say ?

But if you have good read my first indication, I explain that the problem occur before the stage 2 of the boot loader. So it is not possible to use the ethernet otherwise I not post on this forum. The only way at this step is to flash with the cable rs232 but I have the problem with the button flash that is desactivate on the dreamup.
But now I found a special version of the dreamup that is modified and so the button flash is accessible and the screen of the dm800 change to the serial state.
So I test to flash 2 differents image into the dreambox without success, the problem is the same as explained on the second post. Now I don't know if it is really flashed the image or just the progress bar progress but any data is really patched into the memory of the dreambox. I don't have any solution to check it ?!
It seems that the problem is due to a corrupted data into the second stage of the boot of the dreambox, but it is patched with the nfi image or not ?
If not how I can reprogram this part of the boot (in case it is necessary) ?

sorry during the stage 2 of the boot. But the stage is stoped before the end of the execution.

Hi laurent..you failed to mention if your 800 is a clone or original...it sounds like you have flashed with a wrong bootloader if it's a clone,can you come back and let us know clone or original?

Could you be trying to flash a clone with an original image? if its a clone you will need a patched image to suit your bootloader version

Yes sorry, I forgot it! It seems that is an original, because my dream is an original and the other dream with the problem is exactly the same. The MAC address is correct and the position of all output (rs,ethernet,dvi,..) is as the same place.
The only difference that I see (I don't know if it is important) is the following
My dream (the dream that is work well) have this information at the start of the stage 1:
FIRST STAGE 1.01 (0x133/high) {BO23456}
and the other dream (the dream not ok):
FIRST STAGE 1.00 {BO23456}

If I flash an image for a cloned dream into an original, it is a problem ?

I have more see the difference between the two dreambox and then at the bottom of the rs-232 interface it is written Rs-232 on the dream with problem (it seems that is a clone?) and on the other dream it is written service.
Did you know if is possible that is written RS-232 on an original dm800 ? and with the difference of first stage that I have show on the previous post, it is more possible that is not an original.
In this case how I know which is the good image for the clone (tomthebomb tell that I need to have a good image depending of the bootloader version)?

I repeat it is not possible to do with the ethernet (and in any case if you can flash with ethernet you can flash too with the serial cable, it is just slowly) otherwise I don't have any problem and I not post in this forum!

After a good look inside and outside of the two dream 800, it seems really clear that the dream with the problem is a clone (some part is in plastic rather than a metal, the name of the link rs-232 is not correct,...)
So the problem seems that I have flashed a clone with an original image (gemini2-460-dm800-200912241409), it is a big problem, can I correct this problem ?
I try to flash with an image for a clone but the problem is the same. Did you know a good image for a dm800 clone to be sure that he work in any case ?

Your bootloader is 75 so you probably have a newish box. What patched images you can use depend on the sim card thats in your clone. You need to take it out and compare it to the ones here _http://www.8a8f8.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/4844/How_to_know_the_SIM_version_of#Post4844

Once you have determined the sim, then just download one of the images that suits.

I need to remove all (tuner dvb-s) to have access to the sim card :-cry1 but ok if it is the only way to know the sim version, I do it to night...
The image is very linked with the sim version and boot loader ? Do you know what is really inside the sim card, boot loader and image or only boot loader (stage 1 and 2) ?

Ok it is more simple to extract the sim, it seems that is a sim 1.0 (white without any inscription) with the bootloader #75 but it is difficult to found a good image for this system.

Dont think a sim 1.0 can take a 75 bootloader. . Ive only ever had a genuine 800 and all Ive said to you is from reading on that site. Maybe you should post a question there. If you do get it sorted post here how you did so that anyone with similar problems can benefit.

The dream 800 is functionnal now, I flash with the image NabiloBlackHole_DM800_012_8a8f8 for sim 1 Bl 72 and it work fine now!!!!
