I received an email supposedly from "Intel Corporation" with the subject "Make the connection with Intel(R) PRO Server Adapters ". When I looked at it there was an attachment of 8170 bytes simply called "No filename".

This is in fact a download. To what I don't know but I'd wager nothing good.

Don't click on it! Most here wouldn't but it pays to give it publicity.

Delete the email immediately.

I seem to be getting a lot of phishing E-mails purporting to be from banks and credit card companies, fortunately mailwasher deals with them suitably. :)
