IP settings swapped and erase OK flashed new image...

Loaded new image power out held up button but still same orange Dream logo that just sits looking at me.

Dooh, does this have to go back, the screen still has the plastic cover!

It's not even warmed up yet!

Hi Gameboy - I flashed my dreambox with the Hydra Beta and that toasted my box as well.

My way around it was to connect the serial cable - select flash and not erase.

Once the image is flashed - it takes a while via serial - reboot the box - then power down and un-plug.

30 secs later powerup the DB and remember to keep the channel up button pressed in so that it flash erases on bootup.

You should then be okay.

Phew!!!

Well it's back working again, couldn't face sending it back to be fixed.

Think I will stick with the image I had working - lucky I backed it up!

About to load it - fingers crossed.

It's great when it's working but when it's not it should be called a NightmareBox.

Thanks for your help zanders.

P.S. Had to use a PC to fix it - Bah!
