Finally....all sorted!

Thank god it's all been put right. It was decent chap (must have been in his mid 60's) who sorted it all out and he put much longer bolts in to hold it all securely as the other ones were pretty rubbish and not very tight. The pole is lower and in true and was metered by a decent alignment meter. He only charged £70 for sorting it out and he was here for over 3 hours. It just proved one thing to me that there is some good installers out there, but quite a few bad ones too. Last week I was just unlucky. Much happier now and I can go scanning the skies with ease.

Excellent! I met a few proper installers with some truly professional looking (and performing) installations. It was a joy to converse with them. Sadly, from the looks of things, they seem to be outnumbered by not-so-professional ones.

I was going to mention in the other thread that SSS are a pretty long-standing and well regarded (if slightly expensive) retailers of sat equipment, so I'd be very surprised if they recommended someone rubbish...
