Fortec star FS4700 factory reset?

Hi folks, am trying to help a guy who bought my old fortec star off me. I only used it as an occasional freeview box and he cannot get into the settings. Tried the default pin of 0000 but still won't work.
Any ideas or help?

Hi, can anyone help? be really grateful for any advice. Would a software update be of any use?

The problem I can see there is most receivers need the pin number to do a factory reset - to stop people fiddling with things!

You may need to reinstall the firmware for the receiver.

0000,1234,1010,1668,1004,2002,2004,2228,1002,7777
