Hauppauge WinTV Nexus DVB-s

All,

Is anyone using the Hauppauge WinTV Nexus DVB-s PCI board?
What is your comment of this card? Is it worth the money?
Does Multidec, MT and so on support the board?
What about drivers and support etc.
I'm planning to buy a DVB card for satellite tv and my biggest issue is that the card shall have TV-out.
I only found this and the skystar 1 premium board with this facility.

Its a great card m8.

So's the skystar 2 as they use most or the same chips etc.

Hello,
I have the Hauppauge Nexus-s card and works very well.
DVB software that I've tested:
1) Working:
- Digital TV (Included in the Hauppauge SW CD). It works ;)
- Multidec
- HispaDVB
2) Doesn't work
- ProgDVB
DVB software I'm going to try in few days:
- MyTheatre

All of them in XP. Nothing tested in Linux yet, but in the way.
I'm using it on a P-II 266MHz and the CPU use is ridiculous, that why I use it (MPEG decoder in HW)

Sorry all,

It works with progDVB, but have to use other driver in "Device List" (Sky Star 1 over TT Hard or Soft Mode). With this I can see FTA programs.

But, It doesn't see the CI interface. The MR 1.06 is inserted in the CI, but nothing, neither detects the CAM. That why I said It doesn't work to me...

And I would like to use it because It's my favourite DVB prog too...

What should I do?

Go to http://www.progdvb.com/ go to plugins/filters and download CI Interface plugin.

Good card but ... version 2.1 don't work for SR<8000
This point excepted, good working with Mytheatre under XP.
