The HD DVD format has been on suicide watch for the last few months and this morning Toshiba finally killed it off.But what does this really mean for the industry? Is it full-steam aheadfor Blu-ray? Or will DVD and digital downloads hold it back?

Bad news for the XBox I would say. Good that the PS3 has a built in Blu-Ray DVD player. I chose well.

I'm sure on here that there were mentions of a Blu-Ray upgrade for the XBOX360, but I guess we'll have to wait and see... :)

But, for once, Sony has one up on the format wars (although 8mm and MiniDV (I think they made it? :confused ) were and still are pretty popular compared to VHS-C!!!)... :D

There is something in the news about the upgrade you mention 2CV but I think microthingy are keeping it under wraps for now.
