Help Please - ERR01: no ca found...

Hi All,

I bought a dreambox 800hd (clone) last week and tried to flash it with a new image but got the 'ERR01: no ca found...' on the LED and unable to boot it anymore.

I have read a lot from this forum and others on how to sort it out. I have bought the RS232 cable and used it but dreamup doesn't connect to the receiver. - I followed the step-by-step guide in doing this.

I want to avoid the first option of having to buy another box.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi Addidas, was the RS232 cable a null modem cable?..What OS are you using on your PC? I found it very hard to connect with dreamup with win 7 and had to revert to an old XP PC..Have you tried using the 2nd stage pack by Forhike? If you need a link PM me and I will point you to the files required.

Hi gandalfthegrey, Many thanks for your reply. I realised the RS232 cable was not a null modem cable thanks to your reply. I bought one and installed a motorised dish as well today so I am up and running.

Unfortunately I don't get a lot of channels so I need to start looking at a subscription. My sky was cancelled today!:-jumpsmile:-laugh Looks like I will be heading back for my sports channels
