Help with Card Sharing gbox problems NOOB here

Yes, N*S Video**ard cards such as S*y D**ital's can be used (I'm on the receiving end of one atm ;)

One problem I've experienced though (and found out what was going on with tcpdump) is that every 10 or so seconds when gbox connects to the server, the signal starts to become encrypted again for a sec, so sound and video is affected (which becomes quite annoying)... This is most probably due to the fact that the peer I'm connecting to doesn't have a great connection, and is quite far away :]

i am also on a gbox network but i dont buy this 'dont talk about it its not public' line ...

its the most public non-public project ive ever encountered ! ...

yes,you can share nd$ cards but they have limits ... sometimes even just one additional user will cause freezes (at both ends) ... most other cards behave a lot better (Irdeto2 also give problems,but can be worked around)

That's so true - Fair enough, if it was only 1 or 2 releases of it were leaked, but you can find multiple versions for multiple platforms everywhere

wallycharlo: Do you think that's more due to the box trying to read the card say... 3 times at once (Assuming say... 3 users were using it) every x seconds and the reader has trouble keeping up or atleast replying instantly?

Btw, gov400 - I'd have thought you'd be more bothered about publically saying you have access to every card, than speaking about a "non-public" CAM emulator hehe

yes you can share nds and keep alive! auto updates are set in gbox_cfg by A: line,,,,, update 1nce a moneth and you will be sorted.
gbox is the dreambox emu king!

I suggest you look at the date stamps before you post - this one is for 6 months ago, AND is for North America not for the UK as you are answering!
