My Satellite Setup
6ft dish on on a 1224 jaeger motor and moteck v-box with 4ft on a stab motor connected to diseqc switch to coolsat reciever

i would like to know if hd universal lnb can be made to work like my smart lnb which is not hd ready because my smart lnb can pick up both linear and circular satellites without having to change skew but when it comes to my megasat hd ready lnb i would have to change skew pick linear or circular satellites

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

If your original LNB works well for SD channels, there is little reason why it shouldn't work with HD channels.
