HI, that looks great.

Would you mind telling me what your getting on a 1.2 M in Madrid. I moved here 6 months ago and still havent got a dish and pretty much everyone says get a 1.8M which i cant due to space issues.

Also this is cheeky but where did you get the secondhand channel master and have they got any more? Sorry if that sounds nosey but anyway.

Well doenthough looks great,

I found it on eb$y Spain. I think it was just a one off, as I have never seen one on the site before and IMO the Spanish version is very poor. Then again there must be quite a few people in Spain who no longer want them as most people now need a CM 1.8

If you get a 1.2 and use it in Madrid you have to appreciate it will have limitations.
This is what I am getting at the moment, but we have had beautiful weather. It might not be so good in heavy rain.

BBC1 24/7 very good picture
ITV1 24/7 very good picture
Five 24/7 very good picture
ITV2 24/7 very good picture
ITV3 24/7 very good picture
ITV4 24/7 very good picture

BBC2 6am- 8am very good picture, there after pixelated. 5pm no signal.
CH4 6am very good picture, 6pm pixelation starts, 7pm no signal.

Wow that really is lucky, ebay over here is shockingly poor.
Well done you must have searched for months to find that or was it a fluke.

Do you have a Sky subscription? If not why not try the Humax Foxsat HD boxes. The tuners are meant to be very good in fringe recption areas and you could get BBC HD 1 as well then.

Did you get the lnd in Spain or in the Uk. Its just i am looking for the Channel Master feedhorn over here without much luck.

Cheers

That LNB is freely available throughout Spain, and the feedhorn from Satellite Superstore by mail.

Hi Huevos,

Invacoms are freely available but my god at what a price. I have got one on its way over from the UK for less that half the average price I have seen for a QDF-031. Sadly i havent found anywhere apart from Satellite Superstore which have the feedhorns cheaper.

Thanks for the advice anyway

I ended up getting all my accessories from the UK. With the pound weak against the euro it was cheaper even when you add the shipping.

Are you watching the encrypted version of Five on 2A ? The reason I ask is that the FTA version is on the same 2D TP as BBC 2 England. Also, have you tried the regional versions of BBC 2 on 11803 H. These obviously have regional opt-outs but not always at the same time. You might be able to see most programs if you switch between them.

The problem is, in Madrid with a CM 1.2, I will only get a lock on horizontal transponders 41, 43, 45 , 47 etc until about 10am after that I will not get a good signal on the TP horizontal.
I am watching ITV1 etc all on the Vertical TP's

This means as far as I can see, unless you get a CM 1.8 in Madrid you will need a viewing card to watch Five on a 1.2.
This also means a Humax Foxsat will be no good for watching five either unless it uses a Vertical TP, so a viewing card is the only way I can go at prestent.

Ah... I understand now, it's all 2D horizontal TPs that are the problem then.

You mean 10803 H (Txp. 47), which is about equal difficulty to Txp. 45 (BBC Two England).

Yes sorry, I did mean 10803 H. Embalse has already explained about the horizontals being problematic.

I havent seen a Incavom quad C120 in Spain for less than 80 euros plus IVA, and my local dealer wants well over a 130. If you got one for that where was it cos they sound very cheap?

Where can we get Channel Master Feedhorn for Invacom QDF LNB. Can we use C120 Invacom Feedhorn on same dish ?

the adjustable feedhorn made by invacom is for prime focus dishes, where as the channel master feedhorn is made for offset dishes.

so you will need the adjustable invacom feed for your large dishes
