The TV Cabo website now confirms the fact that a card change is taking place for the service - however, one has to wonder just weather the change is now a waste of money.

They are changing the old cable analogue boxes for the digital ones, no news on changing the satellite ones.

If you read what I said, I never said that the FTA makers had anything to do with the hack; to be more clear in my point..., the FTA makers simply took the IDEA and RSA keys and developed or assisted development of the software to use their respective receivers. I agree that if a hack is extremely difficult or costly they will abandon ship and leave those that have no idea whats going on with "true FTA" boxes and nothing more. I don't really care, this is a true hobby for me and I will just watch what is truly FTA if/when a hack is made available. I'm not one of those folks out there that spend 1000+ dollars a year in hacks just to watch TV. I myself maintain a moderately priced subscription package with Bell over here, as watching free tv really isn't worth the hastle unless your just in it for fun. I am very aware that DVB PCI cards were the first ones out of the starting block. You have to admit though that logically, if you were an asian company who went from hundreds of FTA units sold per year to thousands, wouldn't you want to keep the ball rolling regardless of who actually found the hack first. I see no reason why you interpreted my post as you did, all I have to say is watch the rude tone, we're all in this together, regardless of who when and how, lets just say, a few PPV's later and a few bucks less spent on a movie rental.....alot of us are happy.

My tone is not toward you in any form.
But is a fact they have little to provide support,given they didn't developed this "hack".Even though,this all came from a galaxis ird's dissasembly.
This is why the tone sound rude,nothing against the users,like you or others.

I have seen the two Iberian providers totally with thier pants down. Saw it a couple of weeks ago, and saw it this week. If this isn't a sign that N2 is cracked, then what is? Anyway, new cards for TV C*bo to be changed here. Just received my bill with a note on swiching to new (nAGRA2) cards. They don't say when, just soon. I think it's a little too late.

Any Updates on the Nagra2 hack?? also i just updated my dragon firmware to 3.21 which says it does D+ and others on Astra. Has anyone actually got this to work.

they removed the dual encrytion I believe on Astra so no longer open

Bad news! Digit*l + is replacing the 101 cards for new 103. Nagra is back again on Astra but the actual firmware cant decrypt it. It is possible that emulators will stop working in few weeks.

ya que este día se ponen en marcha las nuevas ECM y EMM para frenar
el pirateo de su señal. Al menos el 70% de los abonados afectados
y poseedores de una Rom 101 ya han recibido la nueva tarjeta.
Este margen de días se a ampliado para aquellos abonados que no han
podido recibir la nueva tarjeta por estar ausentes de casa cuando el
repartidor se apoyó sobre el timbre.
