wildlife9 (4)_resize.JPG Caught this lizard yesturday - well I didn't really the cat did but I managed to get it away from him without any damage. It's a sand lizard Lacerta agilis. Endangered species in the UK but quite common here.

Nice!

In England, Sand Lizards are confined to a small area in the South East, I believe.

Wildlife is a marvelous thing. How do bees see ultra violet light? Could it be that flies can sense minute magnetic fields? Who knows - someone could have wiped your LMB with raw meet!!!!

Bim all you suggest also crossed my mind! Seeing this for many months already.
Switching off the mains switch of the receiver gives no effect, at least not within 10 minutes: busted!

Probably unlike the slighty darker arm & dish, the cap refects lots of attactive UV-A.

One fly is naughty, settling in the forbidden zone!
Maybe put a white sticker nearby for distraction? Nah, I'll only end up with more flies!

O, NO, flies are usually like sh*t. But this, for sure is not the case, IBU is best LNB on the market! :)
I was checking electrical gauge another day. After I was very painfully bitten 2x (eyebrow and back of the head), I found out that wasps made a nest inside the box and they did not like me at all.

Yeah, I suppose you could try the organic approach flies are not supposed to like lavander. You could dangle a bunch under your LMB or if only lavander oil available some on a tissue, but there are many chemicals that you could wipe over to deter flies. Good Luck!

Those little blighters get everywhere. I have noticed they don't make big nests here, only small ones about the size of a tennis ball; normally under the bonnet of our vehicle. I checked the oil the other day and there was 3 in the engine bay. Perhaps they like going out on trips away from home!!

Sorry unknown to me.
You could always try mailing the photo to your local natural history museum.

Good luck.
