nearest sat to me?

Question I`m in scotland how do i find the nearest sat to me from my due south?
ie if i put the dish due south then set my usals to my long, latit posn
what sat should i set the stb on to?

What is your longitude in Scotland, I know it is not a big place, but we need to be a little more precise on location.

OK, your nearest due South satellite is 5W, so if you send your motor to 5W, then by moving the whole assembly on the pole and the dish elevation only, find 5W, you should be spot on for the arc.

Just a thought.... usals usually has a facility to input the lat and long in the motor setup menu. I found my SAB, and later the Voyager 3, both went off the arc if i didn't input them as the receiver thought i was at its manufacturer's default location in Holland.
