I got 2 rings rolled from 50 x 5mm flat bar at an engineer/fabricating shop, the rest I done myself on Saturday and painted it on SundayHow did you make it? I mean, it seems very professionally made, the ring etc. Good job!
It will go nicely behind the 1.5 precision when I have finished painting it. I have straightened the rim and got it into primer at the minute.

That looks a lot straighter from when you got it .... have you thought possibly about using a 10" or longer contour profile gauge by first getting the reflector profile from an undamaged part of the reflector and then run it over the damaged area to see if you have lost some surface accuracy and if so, attempt to carefully use a roller to regain the shape ? .. just a thought
Nice work, the ring looks strong and capable of taking a larger dish than a 1.5m subject to the 1224 being up to the job.
Did you spray the primer onto the dish, the finish looks good?
...sprayed with a light cream top coat...
Did you spray it with an HVLP sprayer or compressor with gun or did you use spray cans?
I used a small compressor and spray gun. The compressor I use is not really large enough but it does it.
The compressor and spray gun has given you a nice finish, it looks like a satin finish rather than gloss or matt?
