I was looking at my favourite site Satellite superstore and found that they have a new 36V H-H motor designed for the Channel Master/Andrew 120cm dish which they recommend.

It looks similar to the Moteck H180, but the Moteck is Diseqc and the above is 36V.

Anyone know the manufacturer of the motor Superstore buys from?

Sadoun in the States have good photos of the new Moteck and a pdf of the installation instructions on their website. If I could find a European supplier to cut down the shipping costs I too could be tempted. SSS are a bit pricey and with £38 shipping to the EU as well, it's too much for me I'm afraid.

The motor doesn't get any good review in the U.S where Sadoun used to sell them, they had a clearance 1 year ago on these motors as they were pretty bad if you read the Satguys forum.

hhmmm,,
another chineesi Lego type look motor!! ,i just saw this about it

If your dish accumulates snow, that will impact the weight factor against the motor and could result in breaking the motor due to excessive weight. Make sure you clean any snow off the dish and have the dish pointed in a way that will allow the snow to slide off.

The motor is NOT recommended if you have high wind that will cause extra pressure on the motor and will cause it to break. If you need a really heavy duty motor that will stand to gusty winds and heavy snow loads, then this motor is not for you. Those motors usually cost upward of $400 or more

to be honest with you seeing it with a fortec dish just put me off it big time..i prefere to save for an eigis (engine) :D...regards
