Taking a bit of getting used to, didn't have any kind of 'voice' for a while :( Looks like it's starting to sort itself out now :D Thanks to Captain Jack for passing on my message yesterday.

Past 24 hours working fine for me, using the options in the left pane, after clicking View New Content.

Question? What has happened to the forum supporting advertisers banners that were at the top of the forum? No one is going to see them at the bottom! I for one is not very pleased at this change.

Unfortunately it appears some images were lost on the transfer, not a large percentage, but may well be some of the more recent ones, considering the differences in the way the two forums operate, it is surprising that most of it has been ported successfully, but there are still a few issues, a couple of which will not be apparent to the membership, only to staff and which are taking up most of our time to fix.

If you list the thread here, then I'll see if i can recover some of them, but can't guarantee anything

Just spotted something which is annoying, to me at least. Thumbnails can no longer be opened in new tabs, right button mouse clicking has been disabled so even if used the photo opens on top of the viewed thread. That means they can only be viewed one at a time by scrolling through them rather than having all of them available in seperate tabs and one can't refer back to the text with the image remaining open. Just noticed too that with this method of viewing the images don't scale to the available screen like they would in their own tab.

On Chrome, you can right click on the thumbnail and opt for open link in new tab.

Must be a browser thing then, right click no longer works in Firefox 15.0.1. Also noticed that after editing a post and clicking 'save changes' nothing appears to change although the post is updated. The three options, savechanges, use full editor and cancel along with the editing window remain the same, maybe that's a FF thing too?

On a forum I used to staff on a forum transfer deleted every single attachment (all types - images, files, the lot!) We have been lucky to keep as much as we have. Once things settle down we will restore as much as we can.

Possibly with yours, but that's life and hundreds of other linked images would already be missing, so on balance we're still on a winner. ;)

Will the general settings option open again so we can choose newest post first instead of having to open a thread then going to the last post?

Yes I know you can just click on last posting time in the thread but not the same.

Regards

Look to the left of the desired entry in the list of New Content and you will see either a circle or a star. Click on that and it will take you to the newest unread Post (Usually the end of the Thread), just as it did with the old software.

Circle = New Content in a Thread you haven't Posted in

Star = New Content in a Thread you have Posted in.
