Locked TPC on 1W for the first time today at 5.4dB on the Uno... though PCIe card isn't even registering the signal there for some odd reason.

1dB from KNR2 on PCIe card - nothing on the Uno

Rene Unidao - 6dB on the Uno

Locked TPC as well today although picture is all broken down...But BBC Africa is ok on 4025R

For some reason BBC Africa was no stronger than TPC today, even though BBC is usually stronger.

As promised here are my results on these 3 test txpdrs..

1 West TPC -- 7.6 db
34.5 West KNR 2 -- 6.2 db
40.5 West Rede Uniao -- 10.9 db

So it looks like 34.5W and 40.5W are stronger into the UK than down here then. Also we don't know how my meter compares to yours.

BTW, 40.5W is much weaker here since the changeover.

CJ, I haven't set up many positions yet because... I'm going to change the actuator and also move the actuator rear joint further out. Should increase my pulse count by about 2.2x.

Anyway I'll swing it over there later and have a look. But 49E is pretty weak. Anything else you want me to look at?

CJ from down here I can get 23 services from this Sat 49E. 10 are TV channels the rest are radio or data. From 30.5E I only got 1 channel - DOUNIA TV. THE 46E TP comes in quite ok with 8 services but only two are FTA.

..and basically sod all for me after 20 East ..
Used to get Dounia 30E but not for about 18months ...then I enter the dark zone ..only to emerge into signal light at 57East ...Amhara being lockable ..
But 49E and 46 East ...in C band ..
Never ever seen a broadcast signal ..
38East is occasional at best ..
Basically East of 20E is a write off for me ...that's why I keep my actuator on the west side of Christina..

49E lockable on a few transponders (just). But most is encrypted. And 57E is outside my current range. My hardware limit at the moment is 55E for C-band circular, but can get to 57 in Ku.

46E is an easy catch in C-band. 12.1dB.

Found a new actuator for 20€ at one of my wholesalers. 18" and 48 pulses per inch. And best of all no backlash. Current arc on the central LNB (C-band circular) is 57E to 64W. Ku LNB is 3º further east and C-band linear is 6º further west. Actuator is on the east side of the dish. Getting Africable from 53W. I think that is a new sat for me.

I wrote a bit of code to help me set up the V-box. Forecasts the pulse count of all the LNBs and accurate to about 3 or 4 clicks so really speeds up finding positions. Just had to feed in dimensions and starting pulse count.

You seem to be getting some very good results there. Is Ku on the up across the arc as well?

Finally managed for the first Time to register 162 Channels from 68.5E.....most of them encrypted. Have moved my 1.5 Dish to another location so now I can scan to at least 70E.
