Hi there,
This seemed to be the best place for my query. If it isn't then I apologise.
I have lost the remote control for my Leyf 0301, which severely limits the operation!
A replacement that I am considering, from Amazon looks good, and the supplier assures me that it will pick up the only channel that I require (Eurosport.de on Astra at 28.2 19.2 E). But they obviously did not understand my second question, which was:
I don't need, and can't use HDMI. Does the SCART connector have RGB, or at least S-video outputs?
I am hoping that someone here has that receiver (or the cheaper non recording version). If so can you answer the question (by measurement if possible, or from that user manual if not?
Thank you very much
Tony
and hoping that this will work...

ADMIN EDIT - corrected Tony's typo on the orbital slot. A/S

Eurosport on 28E is a pay channel - for which you need a valid subscription. There is the free version on 19E although the audio is only in German.

Which might explain why he's posted Eurosport.de, which is the German channel.
If you are viewing FTA channels, on 19.2E, you might also try Sport 1, which shows a lot of the darts, and is FTA, and One HD, which although German does show a lot of programs with English audio.
Can you please post back with more information.

Thank you. It was good of you to point out my blunder.
To anyone else reading my post 19.2E is what I should have typed.
Sorry.

No problem Tony - Any cheap generic box should be able to give you Eurosport Germany.

Thank you Mickha,
Actually I want it for WTA Tennis. They don't cover much, but only alternative in the UK is to pay Amazon!
There is also sometimes nice music on MDR.

Have you investigated the Eurosport Player service? I think that has WTA tennis coverage on it.

Apparently the Technomate 5402 M4 has RGB SCART but I haven't tested it. The two receivers I own that do have it are the (old & clunky) Humax Foxsat HD and the Openbox V8S. The V8S is also fairly old but works well though the user interface doesn't render well at SD resolution.

It might be worth just buying another Leyf

By the time it goes wrong you will have found the original remote.

Hi Channel Hopper, and Offtensive,
I might consider it, I would still be stuck with CBVS quality, but at least I would be able to look around more. At present I am stuck with just the four channels that happen to be in favourites. I can't even reset the receiver - it needs the default code to be entered!
Thank you bothfor the reply.
Tony...

(And a general apology for the delay - I had to be away for quite a while.)

Your opening post mentioned watching Eurosport Germany on Astra 1 , which is SD anyway.

Hi there,
Yes, of course Eurosport.de on that transmission is SD. But there are different ways of decoding the PAL video. The best gives an RGB output, which any decent manufacturer provides on the SCART connector. Second best is S-Video and worst of all is CVBS (Composite video, blanking and syncs). And Leyf even does that badly! I will delve into the works. If I can find the demodulated PAL signal I will make my own RGB decoder for it. It's not that difficult.

Meanwhile, thank you to all. I think it is time to abandon this query.
