Questions for sat guys in Olso/Akershus, Norway.

Hi all,

I am planning to move to Norway from London in the coming months.

I currently have an 85cm dish with 0.1db LNB and DM800se to watch Norwegian TV on 0.8W in the UK. My setup works well.


What I would like to know is if I can achieve the reverse, living in Oslo or Akershus and receiving Sky on 28.2E with an 85cm dish?

I have read reports that you need a 1.5m dish to do so(!), but looking on this forum it seems some guys have had success with smaller dishes.

Yes, apart from services on 2D then 85cm will be fine for all satellites currently on 28.2e. When 2E, 2F and 2G start broadcasting in a year or so 85 cm may not be enough..but until then you'll be fine.

Forgot to add: 1.5m should do the trick for 2D judging by the reports I've read.
