Help Required Record on timer with Dreamstream/iDreamX

So I was wondering if this is even possible. I'm using Dreamstream on my PC and iDreamX on my Mac. I tried to set a timer on iDream to record a show at a certain time but nothing happened. Didn't even change channels on TV and there was no evidence it was recording. Same with Dreamstream, no evidence of recording and the record button didn't automatically light on the software.

So is this even possible or am I doing it wrong? Thanks
