The launch of the SES-8 satellite is for the 25th November planned. The launch window for the maiden flight of an SES satellite aboard the Falcon 9 launch vehicle covers the period from 17.37 bis 18.42 clock clock (EST 23.37 bis 00.42 clock clock CET), said the Luxembourg satellite operator on 25 November. SES-8 was manufactured by Orbital Sciences Corporation. The satellite is equipped with up to 33 Ku-band transponders (36 MHz equivalents). SES-8 will copositioned with NSS-6 at the orbital position 95 ° East to supply the Asia-Pacific region with new capacities. The high power of the satellite will serve the rapidly growing markets in South Asia and Indochina as well as provide growth capacity for DTH, VSAT and government applications. In Europe, the start of the Astra's orbital position 19.2 ° East on the frequency 11,627 vertical, symbol rate 22.000, FEC (DVB-S2 8PSK) are received under the service name "SES 8 Launch" 2/3. On www.spacex.com / webcast A webcast is available. The video transfer of the SES-8-offs begins about 30 minutes before the rocket launch.

Thanks remlap. They could possibly be using an internet stream as part of the feed.

And Reuters just cancelled it for technical reasons. Not going well tonight.

Livestream.com is doing okay.

And now in a hold at T-13 due to first stage problems.

No offence to the Russians, but at least they're not using proton rockets.

I wonder if being the first on Falcon-9 is like a 17 year old new driver driving a Ferrari for insurers, can't be cheap for SES.
