Sky Freesat Channel Loss

Hi
Recently replaced damaged cable (dish to receiver)
Have lost Horizontal channels (No ... signal received ....28)
Swapped receiver with known working receiver - same problem
If I un-plug the cable then re-connect - missing channels return.
As soon as I use the on screen TV guide, channels disappear again

Is it likely that the LNB is faulty ?

Yes it seems likely the lnb is faulty - its not switching to H when it gets the 18V sent to it.
