after have read the last TELE SATELLITE MAGAZINE
with the article about " senior RESENDE "

that receive in the CANARIES ISLAND ku band OF ECHOSTAR AT 61 WEST

another record was broken today

the first time was an italian DX ER of TREVISO named

CATTAPAN

that for first can receive TVA GUATEMALA on 43 west

AMERICAS BEAM on 3874 V

some greek dx er have the same result

according to my friend DEEPBLUESKY
that told to me that also in GREECE this
tp was receivable very well

today with my 3,7 m solid

i receipt

ESPN BOUQUET and was probably the first time in CONTINENTAL EUROPE

i send some photo to see all
the unique bad thing was that almost all the channels
was encrypted in power vu , i can only listen the audio
soob!)(-red

with a temperature of 5 degree , was very cold
outside!!!!!!
but the new record has make me warm!!!! ehe ehe

the signal of TVA GUATEMALA was quite good

with no pixelation , and a margin also with bad weather!

the signal of ESPN BOUQUET at 4106 V

is a little bit poorer and sometimes

there a little mosaic effect , there !

but if u see the footprint , is amazing that a signal so far from

EUROPE, can make so big distance , it's the marvelous

of our hobby!!!!!!

i make some photo also at 91,5 east MEASAT

that on my location was only 0,17 elevation

so big fading effects , there , but great satisfaction

Hello,

in south-western of Germany I can´t get PAN AMERICA BEAM on 3874 V. There´s no signal with my 12ft mesh (366cm). It seems, that signal is "more weak" in "northern" of Europe.

a little precisation about your post

the difference between a mesh 366 and a 3,7 prodelin

was very important

i have both 2 dish

one at home ( the mesh ) and one in the country ( prodelin solid 3,7 )

and the gain of the solid respect the dish is almost

0,5 db / 0,8 db

this is the reason

you get TVA because is more strong

and u cant get ESPN because is at limit also with my 3,7 solid

and impossible to get with the mesh!

Around me, where I live, there are a lot of neighbours with their homes and trees in the garden...

On weekend, I will check the align of my dish.

and he receive

with his 3,7 meter solid

TVA GUATEMALA

i dont know ESPN which is a little bit lower!

his location

48 north approx
22 east

PUSPOKLADANY , HUNGARY

so him is in your LATITUDE but more EAST

for me if you re align your dish, TVA sure you can get!

Hello PAOLO,

today, I made a photo from my dish at 43°W Position.

The neighbours house distance is ~10-12m to ~2,5-3,5m height (house top).

I´ve calculated for my town with SatLex calculator.

So I must say, that line of sight of this sat is not 100% . Some near Positions (40,5°W same).

Sorry for beeing OFF TOPPIC here :-worship.

have you tried dishpointer.com obstacle calculator on your property.. Works very well for that .. we use an angle finder / laser under the dish too.

for me the house in the photo

cover almost 30 % of your dish

the pan american beam of this sat is really low signal in europe

for rec eive TVA that is more strong

u need all the dish clean with out any obstacle

this is the reason why u dont receive

so any test was bad result!

Hello,

my out of zone reception is only on few TP from 38°E: 4104 H, 4135 H, 4040 H, 4031 H, 3975 H, 4115 H, 4110 H, 4056 H and 4036 H. The signal is very low and mostly weak. That´s all.

Other reception from 68,5°E to 58°W is ok.

One weak TP 3895 L from Intelsat 903 at 34.5°W. No signal on 3725 L from NSS 7 at 22.0°W and 4155 V on Intelsat 9 at 58°W.

Reception from 72°E is disturbed from neighbours house too. Two weak TP: 3706 V and 3709 V (-> no signal here since view days).

I enjoy dxing, of course!

Me and my wifes brother George were the one menchioned by our friend
Deepbluesky that have received 43west tva wuatemala and we had also signal at the espn freq but not enough to produce stable signal!
We got it with a famaval 3,1m!Best regards
