Good evening from a tourist free Mullion Cove Cornwall : )
I have just taken Alanna's weather station apart, the outside unit.
A radio connected one made by Waldbeck Huygens.
The temperature, humidity and wind direction had stopped working.
The rain gauge and the wind speed appear to be running, as do the inside sensors which are in the inside consul.
When the outside unit is powered up ( battery's and solar panel ) the outside temperature reads a fixed odd number, as the unit is now inside it should read the room temperature.
The humidity is blank as is the UV light.
The inside of the unit is very clean, except for a storage capacitor called a or made by Buntcap 5.5v2f
It is I believe a Super Capacitor.
It looks to consist of two round capacitors.
The radio connected Davis Vantage Pro weather stations, have a similar capacitor inside to hold power for memory.
The supply voltage is 3.4v, the volts across this cap is .8 volts, that is point eight ?
Looking at the attached images it reads to me as 2mfd 5.5 volts.
It just says 2f ?
Any advice on the value of the capasitor from you esteemed gentlemen, would be much appreciated : )
I have found one in China at a low price : )
China's Best
God Bless Spiff : )
