Teams planning joint launch event in January

Instead of the traditional assortment of individual pre-season events, Formula One teams are arranging a large launch at which they will present their 2010 cars together. Although their plans are yet to be finalised, it is understood the event will be held in Spain next month. Speaking to Reuters, during this week's Motorsport Business Forum in Monaco, Lotus Formula One team boss Tony Fernandes revealed that the event would take place in Valencia at the end of January. Although it would be too early for his fledgling team to display their car, which should be ready in February, Fernandes said he hopes to attend even if it means bringing a 'matchbox car'.
