I've got a Technomate 6900 HD Super receiver which began shutting down suddenly and could not remain switched on for more than a few seconds - just long enough to see the menu before shutting down once more. Suspect 'little fingers'..... But, although I can switch on and momentarily see the desired channel it only lasts a few seconds before shutting down once more. Any ideas? Because it is unwatchable as it is.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Disconnect the dish first, Then take any CAM out of the receiver and try again. Then have a go at reflashing to original software.

This is known problem to these series. Caused by DHCP. There are several workarounds.

1. Remove ethernet cable (helps sometimes)
2. Flash older firmware with working DHCP. Go to settings, disable DHCP, then flash new firmware.
