TPS AES updater for mgcamd

I am not using newcamd, as it won't work with Premiere. MGcamd seems to work well with TPC.
For some reason I can't get the script to stop and start the cam. Anyone had more luck with it?

Damn, the updater does not seem to find a proper key. is there a problem with the website?? If I use the lolvince it works fine.

If you are using Gemini then all scripts for restarting CAMs are in /var/script so you only need to change the name of the EMU on these two lines
/var/script/newcamd_6.10b_betad_cam.sh stop
/var/script/newcamd_6.10b_betad_cam.sh start
Look for clues on the "blue button" screen for switching/restarting EMU's- the name of the EMU there is closely linked to the script name.

That was clear, what I can't see is when I execute the script for the keyupdate, it does not restart the cam. Did you get it to work??

Sure it works for me- the CAM is restarted ONLY when there is a key change and the dish is on 13.0E. Can you restart the CAM at all from the command line?
Cron executes the script every 5 mins.
When I have more time I will tidy up the script- it is full of dead code- and then post it here.

Latest update: TPS works without interuption for the last few hours. What I did is this:

Install the following cams (I did it via blue button)
1) Evocam 2.11
2) Evocam config
3) Newcs_1.17
4) Newcs_config

5) Then ftp the latest keys, don't forget to CHMOD to 755!!
Note: I simply dumped a complete key bundle such as Satan keybundle (oywey.satandream.com, press forum button and download bundle) because I was not sure which keys are used. I suspect it is normal camd3.

6) Open up the camd_cfg file (is in var/keys) with a proper editor such as Ultraedit, and don't convert to DOS, and enter the following lines at the end:

wwwtps = http://www.rubydesign.info/aes/linuxkeys.php
wwwtps_offset = 12
wwwtps_filter = %02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x

that should do the trick.

Additional notes:

1) The URL could be any other one you know of where they do keys.

In some cases this might be an optionfill URL yourself)

2) Also, make sure that there isn't another "wwwtps" line in the config file.
3) Make sure the AU entry in the config file looks like this (so it will autoupdate):
# AU
# 00 is ignored (default)
# 01 enable AU
# 02 AU Auto
A: { 02 }

4) If it don't work, try rebooting, and make sure all the keys and scce are CHMOD correctly.

Alternatively, there is a week's TPS_AES.txt for evocamd 2.11 from PDM out there. If you ftp it to /var/keys and reboot, there will be no need for internet updating for a while.

PCD, do you know what this is all about, regarding the filter ans the symbols after it? As far as I understand it has to do with the format the key site uses, it has somehow to match. Any ideas?

Of course 16x02 refer to the hex keys.

wwwtps_offset and wwwtps_filter is a flexible way to fetch keys from http of your choice, as different http may use different format. For example consider :-

wwwtps_offset = 0
wwwtps_filter = 0500:007C00:0000000000:00:%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x:%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x

In this example if you have wwwtps_offset = 5, filter will be wwwtps_filter = 007C00:0000000000:00:%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x:%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x,
if wwwtps_offset = 25 , your filter will be wwwtps_filter = %02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x:%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x%02x and so on.

OK, I think you need to try different URLs, I found a very good source of information from JFK, the boys there are fdoing good work on the TPS!!

Try the attached file with evocam, don't forget to CHMOD and reboot.
Please let me know if works.
