My daughter made these chocolates for Halloween to give to the kids as tricks. They're raw sprouts inside a chocolate case.

The thing is I love sprouts and will even eat them raw so they are a definite treat for me!

Haha, possibly.

I normally arrange things so that we're in France for Halloween and can avoid all the nonsense but this year have had to stay at home. I turned the light off in the hall and kept the living room door closed in the hope that total darkness would dissuade the trick-or-treaters.

It worked fine until I had to go out to the kitchen and put the light on there. Within 30 seconds the doorbell rang!

We had a box of cheapish chocs ready for the knock on the door - but no-one turned up, probably because it was absolutely pissing down around 6-8pm on that evening!:rolleyes:

One of the advantages of living in the middle of nowhere - no bloody kids banging on the door demanding sweeties with menaces.....All the years we have lived in remote corners of the Borders we have never had anyone at the door on Halloween.

Wouldnt do them any good anyway as we wouldnt answer the door :-rofl2

My youngest daughter says that I overcook the sprouts as they're too soft while my brother claims I undercook them as they're too hard. I've obviously got the cooking time just right!

I'm more worried about what will happen to the chocolate after seven or eight weeks on a low fire!
