Incredible what these things can pickup these days!

Nice!
The LNB skew looks to be about -10 degrees. According to dishpointer.com, the LNB skew could even be about -28 degrees. Did you try that as well?

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Many channels on 42E are very strong in W. Europe, and certainly in London in the UK.

Loss on TRT bouquet in cloudy weather, rest seem to hold up in very mild rain. Seems HD channels get hit first.

Skew is maximum set, don’t think I can get much more out of her..

If needs be, remove 3 of the bolts holding the dish assembly to the wall and swivel the assembly to increase the skew, realigning the dish face as you go to keep it pointed at 42E. BTW: I'd reset the skew on the LNB scale to 0 before doing that - gives a bit more adjustability if/when required.

When satisfied that you've got the best possible signals, then drill new holes for the bolts you had to remove.

NB: a Zone 1 dish assembly is relatively lightweight and 1x bolt should hold it securely enough for the short period involved in the above.

PS: when you have it sorted then wind self-amalgamating tape around the LNB F-connector and cable end to reduce the chance of water getting in and causing corrosion.

PPS: using a larger Zone 2 dish would give you more signal, and also better performance/less rainfade when the weather is not good.

Yup from me too; a Zone 1 dish can get quite a few channels on many of the "stronger" sats like maybe 30W, 13E, 19E, possibly 23E, certainly 42E and possibly 52E

A Zone 2 dish will get the all above, as well as 1W (not that there's much there), 16E, 22W, and maybe 4.8/5E, 5W.

Using one of those dishes could make you "less obvious" to nosey neighbours, the council and so on because many dwellings already have more than the "allowed" number of Z1, Z2 dishes on the walls for Astra 2, and so you'd be less likely to standout.

Of course, if you put a Z2 dish on a motor, you'd get a lot of channels on all of the above and still be less likely to standout unless someone knows what the motor is - but few people do, or even that those other satellites exist!

Have a look in local skips - Zone 2 dishes can often be pulled out of them & will vastly improve your reception. I used a zone 2 dish for years for 42E

Good results!

Over the years as the satellites have been replaced and beams stronger, mindishes have become useful. Oh and the mini dish itself has grown over the years too!

I still need to have a play with a Zone 2 on 16e.

Who needs dishes?

Well Mr Sugar / Amstrad did reach out to a dustbin company before the launch of Sky on Astra 1.......

The rest is history.

Not sure which one. It seems after initial talks with the dustbin company they actually got the dishes made for £3 a pop by a company that made car body panels.

A house near me still has one of those white Amstrad dishes up.

Gosh, those were ugly. And rusted through very quickly.

He's a sneaky bugger - but kudos for thinking outside the box.

The one on the house near me is longer adjustable judging by the rather 'brown' brackets - dish face is still white though.

Credit to him though, he got the equipment ready for under £199.99 and ended up in quite a lengthy equipment relationship with Sky.

Had one of those on my mother's house for a long time, and then one of the later mesh versions here and pointed at Hispasat (30W) for a long time until I binned it about 8-9 yrs ago during a "general revamp" and the fact that the LNB clamp was looking decided frail.
