Something I don't get: Having two boxes and a dual LNB, only one of the boxes can move the dish as per the system depending on which of the two cables is connected. Why is it not possible to have some sort of 'switching' arrangement whereby the dominant cable can be switched to either box as opposed to having to move the cables from one to the other when I want to use the 'dominant' cable on either box ?
:confused

Depends if you want to use both boxes at the same time, if you don't, then you could I guess use a smart priority switch, or a voltage control switch, feeding both into that just before the motor.

PS, you posted in the setup guides and FAQ section, so the thread would be missed by many, have now moved it into the main section, "Two Boxes" as a heading really doesn't give too much clue about what you are trying to attempt either.

hello,
if you have a motorized system in theory bot boxes could be connected up to the same motor.
but only can be the boss of the motor at a time.
if both boxes work the same way and have the same outputs then yes it could be done in parellel.
but remember some upstaris can not be moving the dish wile you are trying to do so downstairs.
only one boss at a time.
so if you were watching tv in the living room and wanted to go to the bed room and change channels and move the dish shure it will work,
but two boxes trying to move the same motor system at the same time no way:).

Both boxes next to each other. Don't get how we got a man on the Moon - if we did - and yet I have to swop over connections just to move the dish.
Not used at the same time; each as required.
Thanks for replies.
