hey. the distance between my receiver and the dish results in a 14m long cable. would you regard this as too long? should i move the dish somewhere else?

cheers.

sorry it's urgent because i have to finish the installation today.

Depends on size of signal being recived, ie: size of dish.
I have 1.2mt dish feeding 30mts of cable no problem, the dish and cable are 10 years old

14M is fine. Just use good quality CT100 cable i.e. cable with a copper braid and a copper shield. The stuff with the silver/aluminium shield is rubbish.

Used to use 35m of CT100 on a digibox and minidish setup and still got 75% strength and quality, so you should have noooooooooooooo worries mate :)
