Advice Needed Vision F Plug

Good evening gentlemen after a sunny day in Mullion Cove.

Some time ago I purchased some F plugs that were a good fit for the lower loss heavier type cable.

They screw on to the outer covering of the thicker cable as well and look tidy with no whiskers showing.

They also have a centre pin with insulator for the cable centre wire to fit into.

There is the name Vision on them.

Though I can find plugs with the name vision, they are the smaller standard type without a centre pin.

It is most likely that I purchased them on eBay, but no luck this time.

Hi Spiff. I can only find the crimp version of the connectors on the satsol website.

I think vision have stopped manufacturing them.

Thank you for your reply, that is a pity as I do not like the crimp type.

They are fine I suppose for permanent installations, but with us experimenters it is often all change.

Some of the standard type plugs will work the way I require over smaller coaxial, and it is a lot more flexible for behind the TV.

This stuff reminds me of the heavy cable we called gas piping on communication towers : )

I must admit that I did not see a difference in the quality level even after replacing a 30 meter length with better cable, so a few feet of lower quality fly leads is not going to made any difference.
