"vlc activex plugin is not installed"

Hi
I have connected my 500 to the internet, but i get "vlc activex plugin is not installed" when i try to view the channel on my laptop.
I have tried installing vlc media player and searched for plugins but all that it says is "vlc activex plugin is not installed" can anyone shed any light on this problem please.

You've not installed VLC correctly on your laptop. Ensure the activeX plugin tickbox is checked when you install it.

Also- reread the rules. There is no cable on this forum and there is no support for your Dreambox. Remove the reference from your profile.
