i need a strong lnb which can picks up the weakest signal and frequances and be sutable for my prime focus dish antenna
please note that the Egyptian market does not contain such lnbs ...so i am gonna buy it online
BTW i am gonna install an C band lnb beside the Ku band lnb .. your recommendation for a good c band lnb are welcomed :)

Hi Amr, welcome to the forum, nice spun dish :), you could try making your own, reading on other forums this will work very well for weak signals, the sharp lnb works the best so I am told, I was going to make one myself recently but sold my dish, please let us know the results if you do make one :).

thanks Martin
but what kind of lnb is the best ? i know that modifying lnb with feed horn is the best way to catch weak signals , but it depend on the lnb quality in the base ...
i think that "inverto black ultra " is the best lnb that i can modify it with a feedhorn , but i read some negative experience for people whom did it , then i think about "Inverto Single Flange Black" which i can add a c120 feedhorn very easily ,but the main difference is that the "Inverto Single Flange Black" is less sensitive ,low gain and hight noise than the "inverto black ultra " :(
back in 1995 we have an lnb called "Santech " like the one in the pic , it was the best and no need to modify it with feedhorn .. but it is not available in Egypt or in the trusted web stores
any way .. do you think "Inverto Single Flange Black" with feedhorn is the best solution for my dishes or there is a better lnb brand ?

thanks
Amr

Hi Amr, I am only going on what I have read I have no first hand experience with this modification, I personally don't rate the black ultra on a offset dish the technomate is a better lnb,

The thing is its not going to cost you a fortune to find out trial and error may be the way to go, obviously the pro stuff is the best you can get but that's going to cost you. good luck and please let us know if you do the modification:)
the sharp lnb works the best so I am told

The Invacom xDF-031 range are supposed to be good. Not cheap though I believe.

They are available as single output (SNF-031), twin (TWF-031), quattro (QDF-031)) and quad (QDH-031) . The quad is reputed to be better for sensitivity and selectivity than either the single or twin in some situations. Other people have reported no difference.

Like Martin I have no direct experience.

Yes, this is true. I have quad (QDH-031) and single output (SNF-031) and quad shows better results. How ever differences are small and depends from frequency. May be twin (TWF-031) is better than single and cost effective.
Tested on this 3M previous radiolink antenna. You can zoom picture to see LNB.

I have an Invacom 0.3db twin output C120 LNB on a feedhorn with a 1.25m prime focus dish and it works OK.
I tested the same dish with an Inverto Black Pro C120 LNB and the same feedhorn and the Invacom LNB was better than the Inverto.
