which satellite for Freesat

Assume your referring to freesat. That will be Astra2 @ 28e.

when they say elevation 22 degrees what are they refering to

The angle from the ground up to the satellite.

thanks Mark, so can you tell me what the vertical possition of the dish should be

Dish face should be roughly vertical (Because the LNB arm is offset by roughly 22 degrees). You will need to adjust it a little though, to get best Quality.
