Give me a shout when you are ready to sell it at the right price I would be interested.
blademedia,
I look forward to your installation topic, it will be a very good read for the "Prime Focus Men", best of luck and I hope it goes well.
Rgds
I still have mine from long ago when it was used on a 3.1m Winegard mesh. It worked well on C band with a "golden ring" (a ring inserted into the end of the WG to illuminate deep dishes correctly). Ku performance was only a bit better than the 1.5m IRTE but that may have been more to do with the f/d of the dish and its mesh construction. I also found that the SMW ku LNB I used at the time has very poor phase noise. I'd like to try the Co-rotor again but it need a new servo.I have something similar, but did not try it yet

That would be great, many thanks.Ive got some spare Chaparral servo's G, do you want one sending down ?.
Install will be quick fist time round, the performance might shock a few people, ive had them for years, don't get me wrong channel master is a good dish but not quite in the same league as a spun dish
Its just lots of messing around bodging/fabricating things for O/S dish lnb, more ready made all in one solutions for P/F dishes,I loved my 2.2 Precision PF as well ... fabulous dish.
Found it to be more precise for lnb focusing over the CM1.8 but sadly never had the chance to use more modern electronics on it before it got storm damaged.
The CM 1.8 offers more lnb experimental possibilities for me, which is what i like to do, there's Ka, Ku, C & Extended C on the changer at the moment but if i ever had the need to go for a single band only at focus position i'd go for my 2.2 PF as well.
Crack on with it then, look forward to install progress pics ;)

From memory Precision dishes when made in Stratford were graded based on the amount of care that had been taken with the broom handles. Whilst IRTE were pretty well consistent in the gain and frequency response, there were differences between the TVRO and receive/transmit grades despite the reflector coming off the same production line.
The 1.8m I have had on the roof for a number of years is virtually identical to the response from the 1.5m at Ku band despite stringing to check. I may replace it with the 2.2m reflector I have in the garden when the weather improves.

never get bored of watching that lol
blademedia,
Those spun aluminium prime focus antennas are a thing of beauty.
Did you ask the eBay seller where he got the dish from? I think there used to be a few USA air force bases in the area where you collected the dish from. Considering it is a USA manufactured dish it might have had military origins? Whatever the origin, I am sure it will be a top quality dish when you get it into service.

... Oh dear, i'm starting to get urges for another 2.2 Precision
Nice dish, novel approach to stringing it.....
I've never seen this type of H to H before, its certainly no toy,
