RAI 4K is upscale from HD Main.Who is recording rai4k from yesterday and ebu feed
RAI 4K is upscale from HD Main.
It's worse than original main uplink.
Here:Thats ridiculous... an upscale from 1080i50 SDR?
They did the same thing with the Superbowl a few years back and that was produced in 720p60 for some parts! People must look at this and go oh 4K is rubbish. Of course it is if it's fake.
Yes.Broadcasters are not interested in switching up to 4K. Probably this is the reason for which no 4:2:2 4K professional satellite receivers are available yet. If you need to receive a 4K contribution you must use 4x RX8200 and combine together their output signals in a unique one. Yes it is ridicoulus. But remember that 4K is totally unuseful with any TV screen below 50 inches, and not all spectators can or want to buy so large TVs. So, many stations prefer to upscale in 4K instead of changing all their devices, just to say they have such 4K channel, but obviously it will never be the same as an original 4K signal.
Voting uplinks are up:

138cm, Slovenia.Which dish size and from where?
Yes some are on EBU FINE network with flex decoders / encoders. From past years they only seem to have 8 or 9 channels on satellite and swap them to another country once they have given their vote but I've never seen countries like Germany, UK or France on satellite so a fair few must come over fibre or IP.
Unless they have another 8 on 10e or something maybe...
