I was in Morocco for my holidays and the tv in my hotel had a film channel NBC 2 which all the films were in English language but all with Arabic subtitles. A Morrocan said to me I can pick this up on Astra or Nilesat, but I looked and cant find this channel, could you please let me know where I could get this (which satellite) to watch if it is possible to view this in Scotland.

Kind Regards

Suspect this was MBC 2, broadcast on Nilesat at 7W. Sadly it's not receivable in Scotland unless you had a really huge dish....

Yes cant find any NBC2.

Although MBC2 isnt on any Astra craft either. And if it is MBC2 you can watch it on Badr 4 11919V at the moment although B4 is probably coming out of service when Badr 7 arrives at 26E later this year. You might get away with a 1m dish if its not raining too hard, although when B7 goes into service expect it to vanish into the realms of requiring a very big dish indeed up here.

when is later this year and will a meter dish from the S.E no longer reach 26 E?
Due for launch late December - so in service will be Feb/Mar -ish.

If Badr 4 is replaced as we expect then its very likely we will lose the 26E channels on any sensible sized dish in the UK.
