Hi, I haven't on the dish you mention, but I have installed it. There's an issue with the naming of the Disecq switch outputs : Listen Up - Inverto Multiconnect Switch Label Issue

Advice Needed My Astra 28 H polarized channels gone

Just a quick update. Ordered a new quad LNB, which arrived earlier this week. Had a dry day or two, so went on the roof and swapped out the LNB. Everything is now fine. So as suspected, it was the LNB that was faulty ! Thanks to all for your advice and opinions.

Advice Needed My Astra 28 H polarized channels gone

It's really looking like the Twin LNB at 28E. I connected another STB to the spare cable from the Twin LNB, which doesn't go through the switch, an exactly the same issue. I have a few spare single LNBs, so will switch it out on a dry day (that roof can be slippery when wet!).

Advice Needed My Astra 28 H polarized channels gone

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't have specialist equipment to do this. I think I can safely deduce that the STB is providing the appropriate voltage to the other LNBs at 19e/13e/23.5e as they are fine with the H polarized signals. So I can pretty much rule out the STB. I think the...

Advice Needed My Astra 28 H polarized channels gone

Thanks for having confirmed. I have a second cable from the same dual LNB fed down to the garage. I'll connect it to another STB and see if the H polarized signals are fine on that. Is it common for a certain polarization to stop working on an LNB ?

Advice Needed My Astra 28 H polarized channels gone

I watch a lot of BBC News HD. All of a sudden the signal went dead. After playing around with other Astra 28 channels from the different satellites, I've concluded it's only on the H polarized signals on 28E. I have 4 LNBs going through a switch which can also pretend to be a motor (I have it...

Advice Needed Using signal distribution system ?

Thanks everyone. The house is 11 years old. I'm not sure what they done in the development, but the limited frequencies I do get from 13e and 19e dishes on the apartments don't match the frequencies on king of sat. They can be received in each room. It's why I never used the dishes in the...

Advice Needed Using signal distribution system ?

I live in a small dul-de-sac in France, which have houses and apartments. On the apartments there are sat dishes at 19e and 13e, plus antennas for tv and radio. I've already set up a dish system on my house and have a separate cable coming in to the STB. On my 28e, I've set up a twin lnb. I...

Advice Needed Rain impacting DVB-S2 ?

Hey Skomedal, Today, I've noticed the same thing with the CNN tp. The other day when I realigned on CNN, I was at a solid 70%. Today, the signal is yoyoing between 40% and 90%. I'm wondering if anything is going on up there in the skies (other than the usual). Rob

    Home made Inverto MultiConnect cover

Thanks for this report. This will help me a lot :-) I have a two dish setup with these LNBs on the smaller dish at 9e/13e/19e. My larger dish is currently only at 28e with a black ultra. I got a few more of these LNBs waiting to go on both dishes. I seriously want to protect 28e from rain if...

Advice Needed Rain impacting DVB-S2 ?

So got on the roof today, moved the pole slightly higher, and re-aligned on CNN. CNN is now at 70% quality instead of 40%. BBC HD is pretty much unchanged at 90% quality (but the acid test will be the rain). It has been good weather today, so I'll be interested to see how things now shape out...

Advice Needed Rain impacting DVB-S2 ?

Yeah, screw is radically different and not many good channels there. Looks like they're all leaving 28.5e anyway (you have to feel somewhat for eutelsat !).
