Couple of questions. Firstly, I would like to receive 1W and 34.5W in the UK. Would this be possible on a 1.2 metre dish?
Also I have been looking at the C-Band LNBs available, and they are clearly considerably bigger than KU band LNBs.
How would I go about attaching a C-Band LNB to a bracket...
I'm not sure on the exact law, but I recently read that if a country broadcasts in one area of another country, then by law they have to allow the entire country access to those channels.
So by allowing NI access to the Soarsat platform, but purposely going some lengths to prevent the rest of...
For example, all the main UK channels are broadcasted FTA on Astra 28.2E, and I don't think there has ever been even a suggestion of encrypting them, it is just considered a given that they are availabile for free all over Europe.
However, RTE seem to have gone to extraordinary lengths to make...
40 Euros just to receive basic Free to Air channels seems a bit steep to me. Even TV Finland, the international channel costs around 200 Euros a year for one channel.
All sounds like a racket to make money out of Finnish expats in Europe.
I'd like to receive just the basic free channels in Finland such as YLE TV1, TV2, MTV3, etc. I know they're available on Thor, but unfortunately they're scrambled.
Is there anyway I could receive these channels for free, or perhaps a one off payment for a card, or is the only way I am going to...
Cheers. Also, is there any minimum term when it comes to these "second hand box contracts", and I'm assuming the pricing follows the standard Sky tariff as advertised on their website?
I am considering signing up to Sky again, and I already have a Sky Box and nice dish set up. Installation around my house is not a straight forward install, and I do not want a Sky dish on my house, hell, I don't want a Sky dish at all, I've got a perfectly adiquate dish, thank you very much...
I've noticed on quite a few forums that Sky Italia has a smallish following in the UK, even among people who don't actually speak Italian themselves. There are people who seem to be choosing Sky Italia in preference to Sky Digital in the UK? Also, there are several online satelite stores based...
According to LyngSat, CNN en Espanol is available on Intelsat 3R, and according the the SatTracker, the UK is within it's footprint. Will I be able to get Intelsat 3R with a 90CM dish, or is that just too far?
Thanks
Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to receive NSS 7 in Southern England using a 90CM dish? The channel I primarily wish to receive is "CNN en Espanol". I know that channels on NSS are on different beams centred over different parts of the world, is CNN en Espanol available on the Europe beam...
