hello guys
i find this in one of the sat websites
i want to know your idea about this dish and their make
is it true that's its a good dish here is what they said about it
Gilbertini 1.5mt dish with Az/El mount. The Largest dish face we stock which outperformed the Televes and IRTE 1.8 Metre dishes in our test - it's lighter too being made from Aluminium . Note:- The LNB shown is not included with the Dish - dish volumetric weight makes this a tad pricey to move around the country..

So called capital of Suffolk, UK.
I would love to have one of those, but I understand that the shipping costs are high. Will have to wait until I can get a trip to the Bristol area though.

Nice dish but will bend very easy i know this as i have installed one for arabsat (badr) for some one in the past , And Gilbertini do not do a matching ku-band feedhorn for it as far as i know, Which you need for that size dish, I would rather buy a high qulity andrews or prodelin 1.8 and polar mount which is solid even if you stand on it and will last years and have matching feedhorns for them,

Yes they do, but it seems antennas only.

does it mean that the gibbi 1.5 dish wont give a good signal as long as there is no matching feedhorn for it as channel master
the 1.8 channel master is a bit big to install in here you have to be somewhere else but not in london to install a 1.8 dish i hope channel master will do 1.5 that will be fab

I have a friend who got a Gib 120cm in my area and he doesn't get better signal than i got on my Fibo 90cm.

Mostly probably due to no real good matching feed and the reflector is not made to the same perfection as professional antennas.

Yes the dual optics dish you have is very good qulity dish

Andews dual optics is also very good, For people who do not know read this below
http://www.andrew.com/search/BN_PA-100573-EN.aspx#search="dual optics"

I would not mind a 1.8m andrew dual optics dish myself

And I have a slightly better signal on my Gibertini 100 with a modified feed than on my Fibo 90,so I think you better go help this guy check his setup *LoL*.

You never heard or experienced a warped dish? his dish is probably not correct.

And if you read Sa4all several people say the same thing that they don't get much better signal compared to their Triax TDA110.

Either their dish is slightly warped or actually it's not performing well.

Actually i should buy one just to try out but the winter is coming and i am too lazy to set up a new dish right now.

That mostly probably because your Fibo is maybe not working as it should.
