I have cable TV (unencrypted) in my house. The installer has put a 8.5db 2 way tap (The one below to be exact) but I only use one of the splits. http://www.zinwell.com.tw/pro_profile.php?productsid=285
However my neighbour has a 1 way tap 12db. http://www.zinwell.com.tw/pro_profile.php?productsid=284
Can anyone tell me what exactly a tap is ? (I assume some kind of amplifier/splitter or filter).
Also can anyone tell me the difference between the products ?. Would i be better installing a one way tap to my house ? would this improve the signal strength/quality ?
Also where can I buy one online ?
