same info kabelio will be add more transponder next year after srg close sd transponder
will be more channel mid 2021
 
Also they have announced a simulcrypt of the Swiss SRG channels from next month, this means those channels will be available on their module from the SRG transponder (Simulcrypt Viaccess/ Panaccess)
 
Are they allowed to rebroadcast BBC/ITV? On 13e? I know its encrypted.

There are specific laws in Switzerland that mean TV providers can carry any channel that can be received FTA on a terrestrial antenna or reasonably sized satellite dish in Switzerland. Presumably because this service is encrypted and restricted to Swiss residents, this falls under these rules.

You can see a good example of this by the fact that the regional version of ORF 2 HD they’re carrying is ORF 2 ST - ORF Südtirol. Since Austria switched its terrestrial transmitters to DVB-T2, the HD versions of ORF are encrypted and so no longer legal to carry on Swiss TV providers without an agreement. Therefore, all providers have switched to carrying the Südtirol versions that are broadcast FTA in HD via the RAS DVB-T network in the German-speaking part of Italy (Südtirol/Alto Adige)! Presumably the feed for all Swiss providers is a UHF antenna on the Italian border.

Has this ever been done before with British tv channels? Assume they don't have to pay any royalties at all (unlike the Benelux cable providers who rebroadcast BBC1 etc). Be interesting to see how hard it will be for expats to try and get cards

Well, all the BBC channels as well as ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are carried on cable TV in Switzerland under these rules (as you say, presumably without royalties paid!) and have been for years. Switzerland has never had a pay satellite platform before though, only the FTV SRG SSR public channels.
