Hi,
This is my first time posting but i'm a long time reader, long story short I convinced my missis to allow me to put up a rather large motorised setup towards the end of last year (I waited until she was distracted to mention the size of the dish) I had played around with analogue as a teenager but hadn't followed up on things for a number of years.
After spending a good few months playing with KU band and learning from my mistakes I added a C band LNB to my setup, I was expecting limited success on a 1m dish but managed to pull in 3E and 11W from an offset LNB.
I recently picked up a Triax KA band dual LNB and although I had no expectations of finding anything from the east coast of England I decided to see what's up there on a low budget...
To my surprise I pulled in the following two transponders yesterday from 13E on the KA band:
11.985 H 20.329
And a repeat on
11.135 H 20.329
Both are coming in at around 45% which seems a very robust signal (no breakup in picture at all)
With my receiver I am unable to input the true KA frequencies but set to a universal LNB these are working, at first I though this was a problem with my DiSEqC switch and I was accidentally looking at my C band LNB (the transmissions on these transponder are the same as the Libyan C band on 3E which offset matches this position on my setup)
To prove otherwise I got up there and put my hand over the KA LNB, within a few seconds the signal dropped out so this would appear to defiantly seem to be coming from 13E..
Can anyone else confirm reception? With the lack of affordable KA reception possibilities I'd love to be able to confirm this..
Many thanks
