1500 multicrypt help

can someone tell me how i can turn my tms1500 ci into a multycrypt card reader as ive seen them on other sites so was thinking is it hardware you have to add or is it software you download to turn my box into a one with a multycrypt readers ,thanx.
 
As far as I know, the DM patch turns the card reader into multicrypt. ( Can't check as I have the TM1000)
 
anyone with anymore ideas would be a great help coz i dont know a lot about this at the moment.:-DOH!
 
That probably answers your question, you need to download the relevant patch from somewhere like alsat.co.uk and upload it using a nullmodem cable, then your card slot will be multicrypt.

PS. There is always a risk of damaging the receiver when patching with software.
