17E changes

Just scanned 17E and for the first time I've locked both 3626R TV Oromiyaa and 3660L Channel 44 TV, not only that but both signals are quite strong suggesting there has been a change of parameters on the satellite.

i,m also receiving both the above with a strong signal here in the north west --
the odd thing is the F15 will only lock them by scanning the transponders manually - despite a strong signal they will not come up on a blind scan ?? - the F15 dosn,t normally miss strong signals?
but a feed channel with a weak signal did come up on blind scan -- its not active right now but has been a couple of times in the last hour -- details in the picture below -- please ignore the date and time - l.o.l.

Hi Nelson, I'll store those parameters tomorrow and keep an eye on that one. I've also got Hosanna Broadcast Network on 3617R, didn't find it on a BS but it locked quickly when I clicked on the spectrum display. Still nothing from the signals at the top end of the band.

yes nothing from the top of the band for me either so far --
just checked and the feed is active again now at -- 8.30 am -- with a similar signal strength to last night

Hello! Is it only some kind of religious christmas feed that 3790R? I also get 3617R, 3626R and 3660L in Finland (230 PF).

do you get anything - ever - from higher up the band ? i,m thinking you will have a good chance with a -230 PF -
for a few days last winter (late evening in very clear weather) i was able to pick up the Doordarshan package on -
4131 R 5530 - been trying regularly ever since - no luck though - the signal is there but always below lock for me

Not "yet" anything else from 17E. Have to say thought I am still pure newbie with these c-band things. This new 230 toy was my pre-christmas gift So not long time with these frequencies. I tried that 4131 R without any sign of signal (stb). Theres maybe still something to do with skew etc. on my dish. I will try with satlink straight when that nasty snow will stop someday.

Anyway it has been cool to get many nice channels, and sure NEW channels from 4Ghz. Hope theres still some other newones waiting...

Nice to found out here other C-band dx:ers. I´ve been on finnish sat-forum (huoltovalikko) since it starts but other M8:s only interests for ku-band. Eehhee 20 years with these "same" channels booring me and C offer quite many interesting channels, like hmmm "strange" KCTV (North Korea).

Upto a couple of days ago I was maintaining a very weak lock on the Reuters transponder, just enough to get the correct parameters and ID but nothing more. The weather has been so lousy since then I've not been able to get it.

that t.p is very weak for me here in the north -- barely a signal at all
the strongest "non locking" transponder for me here is 3740 R 1795

Not much to add to this thread ..
Only 3 channels lockable today ..
Solid lock Hosanna 3617R
Solid lock Channel 44 3660R
Occasional lock Optima Sports 4149R

hi VS glad you are up and about i have also got Hosanna,TV Oromiyaa,Channel 44,DCLM, and Reuters and Muvi are about 50% quality but no lock.

Cheers for that Pride ..Oromiya should be doable here ..but as Nelson said earlier ..channel details have to be entered manually ..blind scan is ineffective on this bird..
I'll go try it now...and report back..

Yep as suspected ..not found on blind scan ..but solid lock on manual..

Already logged that one well before Christmas ..but currently of air I think ..
Certainly it was for me ..an hour ago

Me too, on the 1.5m. 3660L solid, 3626R unstable.
